12/12/07: Next week Wednesday 19th December is our first Noel Night Market from 5-8pm. Come and get your Christmas treats for the table along with presents for friends and family, and enjoy the festive theme at the market.
12/7/07: One of our stallholders, Phillipe Ketfi, has been featured in this month's METRO MAGAZINE. The article tells the story behind his superb handmade chocolates and authentic French pastries. Read the article online here.
17/6/07: Lynda Hallinan, one of our stallholders, was on TV1's Sunday show this evening. Lynda is successfully living out of her inner-city vege garden. Having reduced her supermarket budget to just $10.00 per week, she barters and trades for other food and sells the (delicious) excess at the Farmers' Market. Keep an eye out for Lynda when she's at the market; she has beautiful, seasonal produce and can tell you how you get the most from your vege garden too.
26/4/07: With winter approaching, the weather is less reliable. On rainy days, the market will operate from the Pavilion, the semi-permanent white tent just across from the usual market site. So, never fear, even when it's cold and wet you can enjoy a coffee, some pastries and shop from your favourite vendors!
12/3/07: The Auckland Festival is happening in the Britomart precinct currently (March 9 - 25), adjacent to the market. Unfortunately, this has limited carparking available for customers - but it does give everyone even more impetus to come to the market! Check out the excellent selection of local and international performances on their website.
20/1/07: A record market turnout at the market today leaving many stalls sold-out well before 12:30pm! Next week brings more vendors, more supplies and, we hope, as many people! Thanks all for coming and supporting the market.
13/1/07: The market re-opened for the year. A great start to what will be a terrific year - every Saturday, 8.30am - 12.30pm.
6/1/07: Canvas just gave the City Farmers' Market 4/5 stars as a brunch destination, noting the excellent fresh organic coffee from Kokako, Philippe's incredible, authentic French pastries and The Village Baker's delicious steak sandwiches. Come and try the market for your next brunch fix.
18/11/06: Our first weekend. Despite the rain it was a great Saturday, thanks to all of you who came.
